Welcome to Wrexham Tour
Discover the heart of Wrexham exactly as it appears in Welcome to Wrexham on this focused, fast-paced 2-hour walking tour. Designed for fans who want to see as many key locations as possible in a short time, this tour covers most—but not all—sites featured in the documentary while weaving in the real history, culture, and community spirit that define the city.
Your journey begins in the city centre and takes you through filming hotspots including Tŷ Pawb, home to Rob McElhenney’s mural and the workspace of It’s Liam – The Pencilcraftsman; the Victorian Market, where you’ll meet Rob at his stall and may see Tippy Steve at Trainer Revival; and local favourites such as the Fat Boar and its Paul Mullin mural, the Nags Head, and the historic Wynnstay Hotel. You’ll also visit St Giles’ Church, Bank Street, Lot 11, and the Arc sculpture from the opening credits, where you’ll learn about its significance to Wrexham’s industrial heritage.
This tour includes a stop at the Wrexham AFC Club Shop and the entrance where players come and go. On certain days, you may see players returning from training or encounter locals who appeared in the documentary—including Wayne at The Turf, Neil Roberts at Vault 33 (when open), or other familiar faces from the series. These appearances are never guaranteed, but part of the fun is the unpredictability of real life in Wrexham.
Throughout the tour, your guide connects the documentary to the real people and stories behind it, revealing how the city became the unlikely centre of a global phenomenon.
A perfect two-hour introduction to the places that shaped Welcome to Wrexham—and the community that brought it to life.
