This is a place where users can communicate with administrators, or administrators with one another. You can report vandalism, problematic users, or anything else that needs an administrator's intervention. Do not report child pornography or other potentially illegal content here; e-mail legal-reportswikimedia.org instead. If reporting threatened harm to self or others also email emergencywikimedia.org.

Other reports that require administrator assistance which do not fit in any of the previous three noticeboards may be reported here. Requests for history merging or splitting should be filed at COM:HMS.

Protection request for multiple voice recordings (for Wikipedia Easter Egg)

Hi, and Merry Christmas to all of you! I'm ABAL1412 from Vietnamese Wikipedia.

Recently, I've joined the Easter egg experiment. The idea is to record audios in multiple languages, saying "Welcome to Wikipedia." After that, it can be randomly played when a user clicks the mascot. You can read more here. I followed the instruction and ask you to protect my files for this event.

Suspected to be same user as the temp accounts in Commons:Administrators' noticeboard/User problems/Archive 126#User:~2025-32925-15. This temp account engages in similar problematic behavior as the previous temp accounts (e.g. creating new categories instead of moving them, see this diff and this diff)

I have checked and this temp account has similar IP info as the previous temp accounts mentioned in the discussion. Note that one of the temp accounts (User:~2025-34477-45) was indef-blocked. Thanks. Tvpuppy (talk) 03:08, 11 December 2025 (UTC)

Doesn't seem random. Seems like they're trying to remove their own works. As was brought up at DR, the license is irrevocable. Whether Commons wants to respect a courtesy deletion request from something uploaded eight years ago is a different issue all together. GMG^talk 14:09, 11 December 2025 (UTC)

 Done I've limited overwrites of File:Yemeni Civil War.svg to autopatrollers, so people will have to reach some sort of consensus on the talk page. Not attempting to work out who was at fault here, this should presumably end the edit war. Reason for reporting: Apparently a sockpuppet (Category:Sockpuppets of Saranphat chaiphet) created for block evasion, because (1) the user uploaded copyvio files related to Nan province, which are exactly the same files as those uploaded by the socks in the mentioned category, and (2) the username is similar to those in the mentioned category, such as PickOil (talk · contribs), Pickoil412 (talk · contribs), Pickoil412-1 (talk · contribs), PickUp412 (talk · contribs), Pick412 (talk · contribs), etc, which indicates their relationship.
